Ok, well ive just had to re-install windows from the recovery disk Asus have supplied.
it comes with two programs which i have no idea what they do and i dont want and i was wondering what anyone else knows what they are and if they can be uninstalled, because as everyone may understand, im trying to leave myself as much room as i can  the two are: Adabas D Asus OS Cleaner I also want people to start posting about programs they find usefull on the Eee PCs or software they find works well on them or anything like that, but only for the windows platform as there is already various resources avaliable for the linux platform. so yeh, please contribute any of your good or bad experiences with various software on the Eee PC, whichever model you have. |

I searched around and found this:
Adabas D Seems to be related to database so I have no idea... Asus OS Cleaner I'm quoting from the EEE forum: QUOTE I think ASUS OSCleaner might actually be doing harm, by wiping contents of the Windows\Installer directory. I tried to uninstall a program I'd installed using Add/Remove Programs, and found that it wouldn't uninstall as the installation files had been deleted. I later noticed the Windows\Installer directory (which is normally hidden) was completely empty and I suspect this caused the problem, and that it was ASUS OScleaner that emptied it.
