I'd like to swap the crappy Windoze key with the Alt key to better match OS X, I have had a tentative try at prising the keycap off but it ain't shifting and I don't want to break it.

Does anyone know which side is best to start at, is it just the keycap that comes off or the entire 'scissor' white thing?

Anyone else done this and can help?

Thanks, I'll give it a go, I think it's one of those things that if you know which way round the keycap is mounted on the Advent then it's easy, but I was worried that if I had a go and was trying to pop the wrong side off I'd break my lovely little laptop. It seems the keycaps have a clippy end and a pinchey end, if you see what I mean, and it's the pinchey end you want to work off first...

I'd just hate to snap it off - I like things to be 'just so' biggrin.gif

And, unlike british politicians, I take full responsibility smile.gif

Yes, I've done it too... There's a slidey end and a clippy end... I've a feeling the slidey side is on the right but cannot say for sure. The white plastic scissor things stayed put when I did it. They are a bit fiddly to get back on to start, but once you suss that the slidey bit goes in first and then the clippy bit, it's much easier! Good luck!
