I saw somewhere that somebody got this to work, and that it shows up as an ethernet port and you just use the utility that comes with the driver from the ralink website. However, I have installed and can't for the life of me get it to show up in any way shape or form.

Am I missing something? Any help to get my Wifi card working would be amazing, it's the deal breaker for me and unless I get it working i will have to go back to windows. Replacing my Wifi card isnt an option.

Thanks.

Well i've got a medion akoya with a 2700e and it works with drivers found on ralink website: here.

Did you install Leopard version ? Do you have in your application folder any pciutility?

I don't need anymore these drivers because i changed my wifi card last night with the one i had on my mac mini core duo : works perfect and my airport icone is back

Nevermind, i contacted Ralink and they kindly attached a working driver and utility for me in the reply. Got it working perfect now. I Now have my UK Medion Akoya working perfect except the keyboard layout (Advent 4211 from Pauls guide doesnt work) and also I have no microphone or headphone capabilities.

Hmm, The attachment limit is just a tiny bit less than the file size, so i "Tar" compressed as "store" then "gz" compressed with "ultra" to get it small enough. I'm not familiar with these compression methods, but i recall often seeing .tar.gz files in linux. I'm assuming these work under Mac too? The file itself is a .dmg. hope it works, and hope it helps people.

P.S. Sorry about the late, late reply.

Did you get the Display driver you were after? Maybe I could update this into a Medion Akoya thread and getting it working.

I'm currently in the process of going to 10.5.6 from a clean install (keeep messing up the 10.5.5 update cause i'm a fool and keep forgetting to su when issuing the terminal command to remove the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, looks like i killed it this time, it refuses to boot after this mess up, last time it fixed itself and rebooted. Can't believe it did it twice though lol.) anyway, will start again!
