Anyone else in leeds, more specifically headingly having trouble with NTL broadband tonight or is it just me.

how do you mean???

yesterday my 600k broadband was really slow, i thought that there was something wrong with the router but when i pinged all the IP addresses it was fine with a 0% loss, i turned it off overnight and now its fine.

Yep, all NTL services were subject to problems. All areas affected. Last night it was caused by DNS problems, which means you can still browse the web by using a proxy server. It worked for me anyway, but normal service seems to have been resolved now...

I couldn't get diddley to work last night. The server status help line was constantly engaged when i tried phoning it. When i did get through they mention major problems but didn't say where.

All's working now tho.

I seem to remember there was some problem with some of the linx transaltantic links last night, causing widespread problems. Traffic was shifted onto other cables, meaning that even ISPs that dont use linx were affected. I'm told it was worst around 9pm last night.
