How, and how well, does an iphone sync with Outlook (specifically 2007)? What can it sync? Contacts? Mail? Notes? Tasks?

Do I REALLY have to use iTunes?

According to

http://www.technipages.com/enable-iphone-s...tlook-2007.html

You can use iTunes to sync with Outlook 2007.

I'm not sure if you can use other software.
