Mobile Choice has been running a speed test on iPhone across major mobile phone operators to see which one came on top in terms of the fastest 3G speed. QUOTE(Mobile Choice) Mobile Choice puts O2, Orange and Vodafone up against each other in a battle of speed, to see who has the quickest internet connection. With Vodafone, Orange and Tesco Mobile (runs on O2's network) all joining O2 in selling the Apple iPhone 3GS, consumers are facing a dilemma of which operator to side with. We therefore decided to pit them all against each other to see which one boasted the fastest internet speeds. The conditions were all the same, a central London location with full 3G reception on each handset. Guess which one came the top? You'll be surprised... Watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSV8_WBCr4M So what are your thoughts about the result? Would you agree with it? [Via: Mobile Choice] -------------------- - Tony Sutton

What a very unscientific test!
One time, one location and relying on someone to press start and stop on the stopwatch at the right time? Pity they didn't try T-Mobile and I would have preferred to see results from speedtest.net run multiple times. -------------------- He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. Pity they didn't try T-Mobile and I would have preferred to see results from speedtest.net run multiple times. With 12 year old kids knocking out apps for the iPhone, surely they could have come up with an app that ran the same speed test every 10 mins on each phone for 24 hours and reported that!! |
