I often have to ring 0870 numbers. historically, I have used my orange mobile believing that part of the cost of such calls is coming off my free minutes. is there in fact any saving using my mobile in this way rather than a landline?

No, Orange charge the BT rate for calls to these types of numbers and they are NOT included in your bundled minutes.

That's not true; they DO come out of bundled minutes - certainly on my Talk 60 and ED50 anyway smile.gif

Perhaps it's different between tariffs then

I know that my telephone banking service (0870 something or other) gets charged and not included in free minutes.
