So I may spend a lot with them, but Orange keep proving they want to keep me.

I am six months into an 18 month contract on Panther 75 (with 1500 mins and unlimited texts) and with Orange World Unlimited for £8(at 1gb per month for the life of the contract). I am enjoying HSPDA on my device in London and Manchester (where I work sometimes).

I rang them to discuss some other things and to get an upgrade handset for someone and mentioned my high bills in passing and discsused the fact it was due to calls to other networks and without any prompting, they gave me 400 extra mins per month for the next 9 months for free.

GOOD WORK!

You are just the sort of customer they want and will do anything to keep - you are a high spender and best of luck to you.

For us poor people O are IMHO a total waste of space now, they have decided their target market and that's high spenders, most people can't get OWU - if they could then O would have kept a lot more SmartPhone/PPC users.

Its different for everyone... I negotiated a new contract for myself and my wife. They wanted to charge me 45 bucks and her 35 bucks for the same talk plan... I questioned what the difference was, and they told me that because I had spent more over the term of my previous contract, "I had more to save"

I pointed out that if I cancelled the whole shebang, they would not get any money from me at all........... however the person countered by saying that they were ruled by a computer robot overlord who had dictated the call plan to them from on high and he would strike down wrath on them, if they applied any logic in this matter. (or they may have used different words to that effect)

So I moved to t-mob and have been very happy with them to date... excellent signal quality, excellent speed on the internet, and a call centre I don't have to wait an hour for. Apparently, they don't have a robot overlord here, or maybe he is just a whole lot nicer....

Glad orange has sorted you out...

I have read all the threads here and over at modaco re orange and t mobile and data and customer services and tariffs etc....

As Confucious say, if Orange are concentrating on higher spending customers, then thats their choice. With 3 giving away 5 million minutes a month for £2.50, I am not suprised that O are not trying to compete with the cheaper end of the market.

FWIW the longest I have had to wait when I call OCS is about one minute before a person says "welcome to orange premier"...
