To install Wine on Eee:

- Run a terminal window (Ctrl-Alt-T)
- Run konsole (optional, allows you to paste stuff in!)
- sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
- Paste at the bottom of the file:

CODE
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US/ stable/non-US main contrib non-free

- Save (Ctrl-X then Y)
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install wine
- sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
- Re-edit the file, adding a hash before the two new repositories, i.e.

CODE
#deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
#deb http://non-us.debian.org/debian-non-US/ stable/non-US main contrib non-free

- sudo apt-get update

All done! You can now run software in wine by running WINE EXEFILENAME from the command prompt.

Nice 1 Paul, bit of a noob question here but will WINE only run single exe applications? ie apps that don't need an install on windows?

No, you can run the install through WINE, then (assuming it works OK), you can use the application as normal.
