What’s funnier than fanboys convincing themselves they need to spend vast sums on a fancy phone? The same fanboys convincing themselves that they hate it! They’d have been better off rolling hundred dollar bills into a point and poking themselves in the eye, in which case the annoyance would only have lasted a couple of seconds. But now the object of NERD-RAGE is with them always, forcing them to loudly whine about it and advertise exactly how stupid they are to anyone who’ll listen. Also any muggers who overhear them will feel much better about their next few minutes work.

A few seconds surveying Ihatemyiphone.com reveals that most of the hate is about lack of picture messaging and copy-and-paste, aka “Things even a moment’s google would have told you before buying the damn thing.” The users engender about as much sympathy as a sword-swallower complaining that his throat hurts but without being quite as useful (he can at least disarm any rampaging knights accidentally time-shifted from the dark ages).

lol

but the iphone still has this mysterious thing about it. It just looks so pretty and the screen is just so amazing.

I think that actually owning one will probably change anyone's opinion.

I'm going to wait until my contract expires with Vodafone (another 12 months) at which time it won't be too long before another iphone. So I will probably get a cheap SIM only deal for about a tenner a month using this phone, then get a full iPhone contract when the iPhone 4G comes out biggrin.gif

That very sentiment worked for me! I got fed up with imitations and got a iphone 3G earlier in the year.

Brilliant ! is the only word to describe.

and the 3.0 software upgrade will sort out C&P and MMS messaging too.

regards
Howie

the upcoming 3.0 firmware will make your old 3g look new , with all the missing functions an iphone should have had from day 1 , but with apple not allowing video recording , it therfore remains a phone you will need to jailbreak , to get cycorder ( if you want the video function ) , well the one big thing the 3gs has is video recording finally , something all jailbreakers have had for a year now also with mms , why it takes apple so long to give standard functions i dont know , but its still my most used phone the 3g version that is , heres waiting for a real upgrade in a years time wink.gif

I am thinking of buying an iphone but my friend is trying to convince me to not buy it. he says that I would just be frustrated with it since it has quite a few glitches...but from what I read here, I think they have already fixed these problems...
