spam, but they have "spoofed" the email or whatever its called. Its not really from that email it just looks like it is...prolly some clever spammer, picking popular sites and making it look like emails come from admins mods etc. |

max, you seem to be stating it as a fact that his avatar was pornography (im afraid this is a matter of opinion and not fact).
Seethrough tops and nipples...is a matter of opinion like i said. Two women kissing is certainly not porn, what if he had a picture of a man and women kissing? would that be ok? What i dont understand max is why cant you turn off the pictures, and furthermore cant you simply explain to your coworkers that the site is a messageboard and the picture is something somone else chooses to display next to thier messages. This would take 20 seconds to explain. I'm going to guess your response would be along the lines of "why should i have to explain to my coworkers? this isnt a porn site and i dont want to see porn" etc etc, and you accuse shadamehr of being stubborn? oh and one more thing, no matter who is correct, there is no reason to say things like "the girls arent even pretty", i notice you apologised, but the fact you made the comment in the first place is offensive, it has absolutly no place in a civilised debate. I dont like reading comments like that, just you dont like shadamehrs 'hardcore porn avatar', but i dont moan about it because everyone is entitled to speak there mind, just as shadamehr *should* be free to express himself with his avatar...I see hes already edited it though. shadamehr, you went way OTT about all of this im certainly glad i choose not to have an avatar lol... people get too easily upset in this day and age! |

lsass is the sasser worm, check here:
http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp...&virus_k=125091 there is apparently a fix, look at the bottom of the page. Also if you havent already tried it you should check out mozilla firefox, it doesnt get infested like IE does (dont know if thats because firefox is better or because not enough people use it to make hackers and the like want to make things that exploit it lol) but its much nicer than IE, especially once you have some choice extensions installed hope you get it sorted! |

aaah, i thought it was just certain pinoy people who could speak english and that it was some kind of internet slang that had evolved with people including english words. I can understand how it evloved though, i have a friend from mauritius, and because of various colonies etc that have been there they speak a hybrid of a few langauges, french, afrikaans, hindi and a bit of english too!
ill endevour to pop into pinoy threads more often, will have to need help with what it says |

oh and dinoalbert to answer a couple of your points, yes when you use the search you can see if a post is in the pinoy forum, but when i has an english title it means i know what its about, and it might be something im interested in, so will take a look anyway |

sorry if ive offended anyone, i wasnt going to say anything because there are always people who get the wrong end of the stick with such things *sigh*.... I fully embrace all things multicultural, infact i think its the best thing about online forums!!!
@dinoalbert, awarner etc... When i said filter out i meant as a chooseable option for each user (ie a check box in preferences or something)...so when you do a search (or when you make use of the "View posts since last visit" option you dont get pinoy results coming up). From the replies ive got you dont seem to get what i mean, i hope that cleared it up on what "filter out" meant, i dont mean to fully seperate the pinoy community because as you said its still a wealth of info, and the site is mutlicultural!!!! I have NO problem with you guys speaking in your own language in your forum, thats what its there for and you have the same right as everyone else to speak in your native language I like to lurk on the forums, and just read topics that interest me so i can learn, and then help people with similar problems when they come up, when a thread has gotten into a conversation i dont like to post and say "hey, can someone translate the past 10 replies please" PS, what does Mabuhay ang Pinoy mean? |

hmm old thread...i agree the search on here isnt very good (i think this is to do with the forum engine used phpbb?) normally if you get no results returned you need to be less specific, dont have as many search terms.
On a similar topic, one thing that used to annoy me was how the pinoy people post a thread with an english title and then write the message in thier language...makes looking for things more frustrating, so i like your idea dr blow, would mean you could filter out the pinoy forum |

hmmm, you have to give it to msmobiles now tho...from reading his site for the past coupla months you could see he was a big mpx220 fan, a lot of the news items were biased towards that. But now hes posted some news about how the c500 has a better type of memory...which gives it much better speed comapred to the 220, looks like hes changed his mind now.
i wonder if orange sent him a free c500...hehe |

they dont know...the companies (like orange) just pay the advertisers and the banners appear on all the sites...so its 3rd party advertising. An interesting issue youve brough up though. What i find interesting is that these sitea appear to be for illegal music/album downloads, but the sponser companies dont have anything to do with music etc, so they probably dont care if they promote something that is illegal as long as it doesnt affect thier sales adversely.
Im sure if there was a public fuss made of this then they would actually get thier act together (atlthough to be fair its the 3rd party advertising company who is at fault, they shouldnt do business with illegal sites, but at the end of the day, those sites get a lot of traffic and the advertising company wants to make money) |

ive been thinking of something like this recently, when you do a search or do a search for most recent posts etc, if there is more than one page in a thread it would be nice as well as having the page numbers (1,2,3..etc) that the last link would be "last post". So it not only takes you to the last page in the thread but all the way to the bottom of the page. |
