Yeah, bitlocker is a definate for new machine, along with chaining to something when i'm out. The laptop had options for what went in the 2nd drive slot (I had floppy drive, DVDR, and another HD) none of them were in the machine, so they're not gonna find it as easy to reinstall windows as they hoped! |

Yeah, i figured they'd try and flog it on and not go looking for anything that is hard to find. They ignored so much of the other tech in my home that I know they aren't computer experts. Police reckoned it would have been nicked for drugs money. Have checked ebay, will be down to cash converters next just in case. (5 laptops got nicked from work a few days ago too) |

I had my house broken into last night whilst at work. Amongst the things taken was my laptop (running vista ultimate) I am wondering how is Vista's security at locking stuff away - i.e. without my login password for windows, how accessible is my documents etc? Everything was backed up nightly, and they didn't take the backup drives, so not so much stuff lost, more thinking about all the stuff on there that was my personal files, and some business stuff from various jobs over the years. |

Is the call ID a normal geographic number, or a special/premium rate? (i.e. - are they trying to get you to phone them?) |

For anyone interested, for the server machine you'll need the following specs on the spare machine you want to run as a server ... "512+ MB RAM, 80+ GB hard disk space, 1+ Ghz Processor and can boot from a DVD drive" |

I mainly use them for work as a sound engineer, the headphone amp in a mixing desk is bigger than that of a laptop. Although using them with my laptop, I never have had problems with them being too quiet. As for a hifi amp, Richer have an Eltax one for 50 quid, or pay a little more and get a cambridge one |

Jade was bullying Shilpa, along with the Jo and Danielle, and Jack. As said above, Jo was bullied. As a child Jade was both bullied and a bully. It just seems that the cycle is continuing. Looking at Jade's mother, after seeing her in the house, to me, the way Jade is immediately made sense. Jade and co were bullying Shilpa, and as part of that there was an undercurrant of racist remarks. Racism was not the driving force of the bullying, but was certainly a big part of it. |

OK, Orange are rolling out auto updates of the new firmware for their LiveBoxes. You can either wait til it updates itself overnight, or do a manual update. The new firmware enables the USB port, enabling you to use the router as a USB print server. It also enables the Livebox's bluetooth adapter, although there is currently no use fo it - Orange say they are enabling it ready for when they launch appropriate services. I haven't tried putting my printer onto the Livebox yet, but can confirm the port works as I can now charge my Hermes from it, and in the Livebox webpage it recognises the phone being plugged in. I can plug a memory card reader into the box, and it powers up, but no obvious way to access it from a PC. |

Well, now using Vodafone Passport, you only pay the 75p connection, and then the call comes out of your inclusive contact minutes. I work on a cruise ship, and for when i am in countries with Voda networks it saves me a bomb! |

I don't think either diet coke and coke zero taste as good as real 'fat' coke, although both are preferable to the unhealthy effects of 'fat' coke. I haven't tasted them side by side (zero and diet) to really compare. On the subject of FantaZ, I love it ... prefer it to the tast of 'fat' Fanta, and diet. |

The system needs to be global, otherwise it is never gonna work, as blocked UK mobiles will continue to be ebayed out of the country. I have seen auctions admitting the phone is blocked from UK networks! |
