Hi All,

I want to register a domain name but have been burnt in the past by supposedly decent registration companies that registered the domain name under their name and when I wanted to transfer the name, they refused.

So I basically want a decent company that is officially an accredited registrar that can host my domain. I am willing to pay more of course (i've learnt my lesson, you pay for what you get!).

Well for starters, I am not allowed to Skype on Web'n'Walk on T-mob. Wifi would give me that ability to make PC-to-PC phone calls and even cheap calls to international phone numbers. That's a big plus for me.

And indeed, there are times when 3G network is a bit ropey- even in London. So I think, in this case, wifi would definately complement the 3G network rather than replace.

This may not be constructive criticism, but I'm so glad I left Orange.

I was an O customer for 10 years. For the last 5 years, I was a big spender.

Did O reward me? NOPE! People joining O on low end contracts were getting better deals than me.

Furthermore, the customer service people were useless. I got all my Orange network information from the Modaco website. I would get a different answer from the CS people... no consistency whatsoever.

And the data charges were criminal!

I have now cut my phone bill from approximately £120 a month with O to £45 (inclusive of my Web-n-Walk) a month with T-mobile. It's so refreshing to get a good deal, surf on 3G without worrying about data charges and have a great phone that was competitively priced considering the cheap contract I took out with them.

Mr Orange, you're going to have to do a lot more than just pick up on a few issues and "feed them back" to headquarters. O is a sinking ship that requires a complete about turn in marketing, product portfolio, pricing and people management.

I also remember a user that had a borg-like avatar that posted loads, and then summer hols came, and they stopped completely.

I also remember a French user that would come here regularly and give us updates on new windows mobile phones coming out- I think his username was sebset.

It is weird to think that since having purchased my 1st SPV, I have had 4 long term girlfriends, a wife (recently got married), 3 jobs and quite a few white hairs.

I've sold a few things on ebay... and I have only had 2 successful auctions- U2 concert tickets and my sis's leather bag. The other stuff did terribly; hence I want to improve my ebaying skills.

I always thought that when people are at work, they'll browse ebay over lunch or when they have little to do.

I'll stick some of my stuff on Tuesday for a 5 day auction (will end on Sunday) and see how that goes.

When is the best time to list an auction- a weekend or a week day. And for small knick knacky objects like used CDs etc, do you think a 3 or 5 day auction is better? Should an auction end on a weekend or a week day?

The SPV when it first came out drove me crazy! It couldn't do anything except for crash on me.

I think there was also a Superking Dave- who I remember because when there was a big discussion on Iraq, he was pro-war and as a staunch anti-war person, that fact stuck in my mind.

I would call myself a 'watcher'. I try to contribute when I have something meaningful. But I do pop my head up every so often.

It's strange to see Modaco evolve. When it first started up, it was very much a community and everyone knew each other. Off topic chat used to be the central hub. I now kind of look at Modaco as an organisation- a great one at that. But unavoidably, it has lost a little of that small community feel.

I joined Modaco a while back, in fact around when it started when Paul was experimenting witn PHP and we were still actively posting messages in the microsoft message board.
