Mario Kart is good, played against my daughter a few times it's a game to play again from time to time.
You only need one copy to play against someone else but you have to wait to download from one DS to the other.
Some games are like this or have more simple head to head games.

QUOTE(Dark Horse @ Jul 23 2008, 10:47) *
I've been thinking about buying a DS for a while now. Does anyone have any decent game recommendations,

There are some excellent titles out there and some really bad ones that I'd wish I had not wasted my money on.
LEGO Star Wars the complete sage is worth getting and things like Animal Crossing while being a kiddie type title can be very addictive.
As for the stylus you don't need to use it for most titles unless you really want to.

This is 3 fair usage policy for the X-Series.

Unlimited Data
Fair Use Limit: 1 GB each month

X-Series - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use ISP email and download podcasts

X-Series Silver & Gold - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use Mobile Mail and download podcasts

We will let you know by text message once you have reached the fair use limit and ask you to cease using the included data services for the remainder of the month. If you continue to use the services we may suspend your data usage until the next month. This will not impact your access to other X-Series services.

Unlimited Windows Live Messenger
Fair Use Limit: 10,000 messages each month

This is more than 300 messages each and every day! If you exceed 10,000 messages we may suspend your access to Windows Live Messenger until the next month.

Unlimited Skype to Skype calls
Fair Use Limit: 5,000 minutes each month

5,000 minutes is more than 2.5 hours a day of Skype calls – every day of the month. We will send you a text message to let you know when you have reached 4,500 minutes. If you exceed 5,000 minutes we will suspend your usage and it will not resume until the next month, however you will still be able to receive Skype calls.

Unlimited Slingbox and Orb (on X-Series Gold)
Fair Use Limit: 80 hours each month

On X-Series Gold you get access to Orb and Slingbox (if you have one). These services have a total combined fair use limit of 80 hours each month. We will let you know by text message once you have reached the fair use limit and ask you to cease using it for the remainder of the month. If you continue to use the services we may suspend your Orb and Slingbox usage until the next month.

I am tempted to go to £ just for the £5 for 1GB PAYG.
The X tarriffs also include free MSN for the same price which looks interesting.
I just not sure on the reception as I know they used to be bad a few years back.

For £10 you get 80 hours of slingbox as well which seems pretty good.
And unlimited MSN is coolas well.

Definitely not region coded, picked my DS up from New Zealand last year and my daughters from the US when they were first released.
Got carts from both countries as well as the UK.

I've been back for a while now, mainly posting in the older sectinos of the site, but I do more light admin and bits and pieces.
than heavy posting. Unfortunately I still use a C550 and can not justify getting a contract with a network just to get a cheap handset so it's not as easy to post in some of the newer areas now.

Nice crisp shot, zooming in full size, it's amazing how many bugs can actually be seen.
Almost a shame the fly is slightly out of focus but unless you zoom right in you do not notice it.
Same with my damselfly, the eyes are slightly out of focus and it's the only thing that ruins it for me.

Did you take that?

Wish I could take pics that good!

Errrm yes.

It's all a matter of seeing the moment, and more importantly taking more than one shot. You may only get one shot in a hundred that is good but that one will be the one you are happy with.

To give you an idea of the sort of subjects I like to photograph, here is a young scarse blue damselfly taken with my point and click.
This little chap was one of the first visitors to the pond I built recently.

Canon and Nikon have always been in close competition, and Nikon was initially my first choice until I looked more into things like dust protection and weather seals etc. I am more into macro, wildlife and scenery than photographing people, so weather protection is important to me especially those damp early mornings.
Reading different reviews Canon seem to have a mixed bag of results regarding finer image quality depending on model.

What I am going to need to do is get my lenses out of storage and see what they are actually like with the Pentax. They are not the most expensive but then again they were not that cheap either 23 years ago.

Main thing is to wait until pay day then see exactly what I can afford (fingers crossed)

Just a bit of overtime to pay for that then.
Talking about overcharging a story in the news the other day about a guy that was charged 58k for a meal when the staff member got carried away with adding a few zeros lol

I've been toying with the idea of getting a bit more serious with my photography again. Since doing my O levels in photography (yes ok I'm that old, and stop sniggering at the back) back in the 80's career led me in a different direction and I went from SLR to a digital point and click.
Now looking at the DSLR world my budget is going to be in the region of £400 as a starting point, I know there are hundreds of reviews on the net but I am wondering if there is anyone here with thoughts and preferably actual experience in using a DSLR and what they prefer.

I was looking at the Pentax K200D but then I found out it uses 4xAA batteries which is a definate no no for me. This is a bit of a pain as my old lenses I have are a Pentax-K fitting and so I would have been able to use them again rather than spend out hundreds more on additional lenses.
Nikon D60/D80 look interesting but as it's the lower end you do get what you pay for so the saying goes.

Anyway any ideas or thoughts?

Sorry for the late reply, as far as I know there are no operators in the USA that use the 1800 band.
As I mentioned above most use the 1900 band with a few areas using the 850 band.

Would be interesting but the thickness of the device will be the greatest hurdle.

Quad band is the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz Some devices claim 800Mhz rather than 850Mhz but from what I understand the two 800Mhz ranges were combined into one. GSM bands, Networks will use different bands and so there is a chance that a network you intend to use a triband may not be compatable. Normally the 800 band (from memory) is usually not included on a triband device.
The main networks in the USA generally use CDMA which is different again and more closely related to the way 3G work. GSM's version of 3G is known as EDGE.

Tmobile settings for the USA can be found HERE

The device you have does not run Windows Mobile operating system which this site is designed for so unfortunately it may be hard for members here to help as it's an unknown device.
Are you sure the phone is capable of working on your network? Tmobile generally uses the 1900Mhz band in the USA, the spiderphone appears to be a triband device but I can not find any information on the internet that states what network bands are covered.
