ROM Cooking? Aren't they all Samsung ROMS? If so then what's driving the community seems to be the shear number of new ROMS (and the ridiculous naming convention!)
The iPhone doesn't have lots of ROMs it just works (apart from mine, off course, but I'm working on it wink.gif )
If people are cooking ROMs then great - but if they are all Samsung's then there must be a heck of a lot of bugs to need so many 'fixes'!

Has modaco become Modacomnia?

Does no one use any other device ? Or is it just that the Omnia is so bad?

The general concensus seems to be that the turbo sim does NOT work in the 3G iPhone.
I certainly can't recomend it!
But I can recomend the iPhone. I am posting this from my iPhone via wifi which just worked.
My push email works and gives me HTML email from Exchange 2003 which WM doesn't and Safari on the iPhone is brilliant.
If I could get my SIM working and get CoPilot working on the iPhone I could really get to like it!

I'd already done that - tried both usernames and passwords. I'm sad enough to remember them...

OK - phone turned up and I put my T-Mob SIM in and it recognised it no problem - but I couldn't get data access, Made a call and sent a text wityh no problem - that was about 12:00,
By 2:00 it was showing 'No Service' and has been ever since....
It works fine with an O2 SIM.

Hmmmmm...

I paid £276 inc P&P for an 8Gb - It should arrive tomorrow.
I have a 'turbo sim' (it wasn't called that when I bought it for £2.76) and hope to use my T-Mob SIM with W'n'W Plus in it but will jailbreak it.
I'll let you know how I get on!

Glad you're happy - I'm very happy with the price I got when my last contract ran out and I didn't want an upgrade.
Still very happy with T-Mob smile.gif

Very strange they contacted you with so long to go! Mine runs out in April, as I'm getting my iPhone tomorrow I shouldn't need a new phone, I wonder if they can better the deal I'm on!

Very surprising! But good for you. I didn't think they called you until your contract had expired - how long have you got to run?

Mine arrived today too, got the e169 and paid the extra 20 quid for it. What sort of speeds are youy getting? I've not tried mine yet as I dont live in a 3g area (bought for my girlfriend who does)

Why did you have to pay an extra 20 squid? Mine was free.

Cold calling is unlikely to be from T-Mobile. More likely from a reseller and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them!

Here in Woking I get as low as 770kbs but usually nearer 1400. The lower speeds are at home where my reception isn't very good and the higher speeds at my office in the centre of town.

might i ask why the htc touch diamond isn't on your list?

Could be because it's not 'his' list. If you read the post the list is from silicon.com - and they don't know what they are talking about wink.gif

Mind you, I have just ordered an iPhone....
