Strange, today in exactly the same place, I got:

1135
194
53
1175
333
1071
381

All with H showing at 2 bars on a diamond using ie.

Then with Opera:

292
155
275
1064
1070
1096

I dont think there is any pattern!

Try using www.dslreports.com/mspeed

I must say, I have just run a few tests with the H showing on my diamond and got the following poor results:

2kb
45kb
90kb
46kb
32kb

WTF ????

Well peeps.....

Look at the battery life of this thing!

My N95 lasted a total of 2.5 hours today, after 7 hours of charge and only 15 mins of calls, nothing more.

Also - my first kept re-booting over and over, my second reboots a little less, but still does 2 - 3 times a day....................

Looks like I am an unpaid BETA tester for Nokia !!

A garentee'd way to make it re-boot is to start web browsing via WLAN, and click cancel as it loads!!

Its got so many bugs its growing legs

Be warned

Well I am a 38yr old Senior IT Consultant, and realy bored with IT now !!!!
The money for IT work is not what it used to be, and the pressure is far greater.

As for acting / singer etc.... I hope we are not going to see you on X factor laugh.gif

Try 'Dry Stone Walling', no boss to nag you, middle of a field, no stress, and very well paid cos there are not many left wink.gif

Seriously though, get your qualification, and do acting after, then if your 'crap', you can always do the boring mundane stuff.

Marry her !

The talking soon stops wink.gif

You could always use one of the VOIP providers, calls between them are usually free. Does require you both to have Broadband!

I'm going to check this out and see if I can put the pro data package on it. Then I will try and unlock my Voda 3G PCMCIA card to give my unlimited laptop data on the move. I will also use it to check out the Orb client properly on my phone. Sweeeetttttt. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

I would be interested in that one too, maybe I could make use of the Orange 3G Data card that I have just disconected from O.

Mmmmm, shiny. Actually though, can you add data to that SIM??? Even ?15 a month for unlimited data is pretty good - bit of a faff to swap SIM's but give me something to play with until the Vario II shows up.

I would check, but it is refered to as PM (Pay Monthly) so I would imagine you can add WnW.
I think that when new phones come, you should be able to move this to a Flext or Relax Tarif, and still get the deals available to new customers.

Poo. I really should have upgraded to the C600 when it was released. I would nearly be at the end of THAT contract now. Instead I STILL have my C500 and nowhere to go. I'm bored of my phone and bored of Orange.

Maybe this will help for the time being ....... ??

Well, an update on the Vario II.

Just had a call from a guy in T Mob, to tell me that the Vario II is on their system as a future release for August!

So no Vario II for June 1st I am afraid !!!

Had the wife on a payg for a couple of weeks to try Tbag out, all very good. Customer service is spot on!
I just cannot get used to it, been with O that long that I expect to be treated like sh*t. rolleyes.gif

I have now put the wife onto Tbag, choosing the Vario with CoPilot (which I already use on C600) - she has Nokia 6280, and wants to keep it biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif - so the Vaio is mine biggrin.gif

As soon as the Vario II comes, I will be moving too - and I have been with O since their first year (yes I am an old fart!).

Come on Tbag, give us the Vario II, and then I will buy out my O contract and move!

Oh, ps, work mate of mine's missus works for tbag, and is getting me the 'Freinds and Family' discount biggrin.gif biggrin.gif - half price web n walk pro on Relax here I come.

Guy's

For all of you wanting to swap to T-Mobile, but (like me) are waiting for the Vario II, have a look at this:

http://www.tmobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?menuid...nal_sim_only_pm

Sim Only - £7.50 / month - 50 minutes - NO CONTRACT
I am thinking this may allow us to add £7.50 Unlimited Internet, and all the extras you get with a contract, but none of the drawbacks. When the Vario II comes, we could move to a contract, and get a nice shiny Vario II.

I suppose this will all need to be clarified with T-Mobile, but it looks promising.

Awww.

Just took the plunge again and ordered a C500 from Orange, after leaving them over 15 months ago for new found lands from an original SPV and Wildfire.

I stupidly have realised that I miss good old Orange, and decided to come back again.

But - I've noticed that Wildfire has disappeared. Does anyone know if she ever will get replaced?

I'm not sure I can go on with my contract if I don't hear her cheeky responses and charming wit every morning
*

I still have her!! (ooer missis)

Anyone who had Wildfire when it was available should still have it, but you cannot get it added to a new contract.

Try the HP iPaq 2200, its about £220

It has 2 card slots 1xSD, and 1xCF.
It has BT, but no WLAN - but a CF WLAN card can be added when needed.

Its fairly robust, but if you are likely to drop it, I suggest you buy a hard case.

Hope this helps

I know I haven't posted here much but I have been reading for ages.  I agree with Midnight it is out of order questioning someones worth on the forum.  I also think it is a bit strange that you would rather Mr Orange guessed or made up information rather than just not posting replies to questions he doesn't know or is unsure the answer to...surely accurate information outways post counts and participation levels?

Give the guy a break......

He can and does help, but remember, he works for O, so hill will not say or do anything to jepordise his job.....

WOULD YOU??

I would defend them if I worked for them, no matter what my personal opinions where. The company I work for now are not the best, but I have to promote them, its part of my job!!

I think he was very brave to join in the first place.
